Micah Meggs cause of death
On May 6, 2023, reality star Olivia Plath announced via her social media accounts that she had suffered the terrible loss of her brother, Micah Meggs.
Micah Meggs, who was riding an electric bicycle in the southbound right lane of US 220 in Franklin County on the evening of May 4, collided with a southbound Honda Accord in the right lane of the same road.
The crash, which occurred less than a mile north of Virginia 619 in Franklin County shortly after 10 p.m., resulted in Micah’s death at the scene. However, the driver of the Honda was not injured and the incident is still under investigation according to the Virginia State Police.
Olivia has announced that she will be taking a break from social media to mourn the loss of her younger brother. Addressing her Instagram story, she wrote: “Hey guys, I’m taking some time off from social media. Don’t worry if you don’t see me around here, I’m taking up some space/time. Last night I lost my little brother in an unexpected accident and I need some clarity and space to grieve…”
Olivia also thanked her social media followers for giving her space and time to grieve.

In August 2022, Micah’s brother Nathan was convicted of drunk driving in Florida. He was arrested in Hillsborough County, Florida, on March 11 after he was found “unconscious in the driver’s seat of his vehicle, with the vehicle running, at a gas station.” Nathan, 19, was “throwing up on his own, smelled alcoholic beverage coming from his mouth, slurred his speech, and was visibly swaying,” according to the police report.
