Boston police arrested Jeremy Elbertson, better known by his online alias Jerma985, after he killed six people during a bizarre, avant-garde stream in which he let chat users decide whether or not his car would stop.

He added that they were able to track Jerma’s location in real time thanks to his Livestream and that enough officers had signed up and voted for Jerma to stop his car and surrender to the police.
After the Twitch chat chose fellow streamer STAR to serve as Jerma’s legal counsel, legal experts said they didn’t like his chances of being released at the time of the announcement.
