Sonika, 27, became famous after placing fifth on American Idol. She was only 20 years old then. Tristan McIntosh was racing for a spot in the Top 5, but was knocked out by Demi Lovato’s stellar performance of Let It Go. Sonica’s use of stage and props was what made her performance so outstanding that night, and Jennifer Lopez commended her and said:
“She’s still alive.”
Lopez went on to say:
“You are a warrior.”
The other judges also praised her, and judge Harry Connick Jr. he noticed that she did better. Keith Urban, another judge, praised her use of the wind turbine, which blows her hair throughout the song and makes her look stunning. Sonika, according to her profile on the company’s website, helped the company make $680 million in revenue in 2022 alone. Her bio also reads:
