Now that Chapter 5 Season 1 has started, Fortnite players can start diving into a brand new map to discover all its secrets and try out all its weapons. If you’re a fan of demolishing and dealing explosive damage, you might want to check out one of this season’s new additions: the Cluster Clinger. Below, we’ll tell you where to find them and how to use them to outdo your opponents.
Where to get Cluster Clingers and how they work
Cluster Clingers can be found on the ground and in chests throughout the island. Since there are relatively many of them, you’ll likely run into at least a few in most matches, making them easy to keep on hand.

When equipped and thrown, Cluster Clingers will stick to any surface they land on and release smaller explosives at that location. These individual explosives can deal massive damage if they all manage to hit an enemy, making the Cluster Clinger an excellent choice for knocking enemies out from behind cover or finishing them off after a shootout when you’ve exhausted your ammo reserves. They can also be incredibly useful for destroying walls, floors and ceilings to quickly expose enemies or help you move quickly in the middle of a firefight.
Given how useful they are, we recommend keeping a spot open for Cluster Clingers in most matchups so you’re always ready. Although they only come with two per truck, you can carry a total of four at once, so make sure you always have a full supply before heading into battle.
