Where to find every Bell Bearing in Elden Ring

Your new Firelink Shrine in Elden Ring is the center known as the Roundtable Hold. This is a completely isolated part of the game from the rest of the open world and can only be accessed quickly after being invited. This will happen as a natural part of your adventure, and once there, you’ll be able to meet and interact with a number of NPCs. This includes your trusty blacksmith, some sorcery and sorcery teachers, characters just passing through, and vendors. Of these vendors, the most overlooked is the Twin Maiden Husks, who you might not recognize as NPCs at all based on their appearance.

Twin Maiden Husks starts with a fairly limited supply of items that you probably won’t be that interested in. However, outside of just shopping, you’ll always get the odd prompt to give them something called Bell Bearings before browsing their inventory. Bell bearings are a rare, limited item in the world Elden Ring, and that’s the only place they can be used. In such a large world, finding even one of these small metal balls can seem impossible, and the rewards are completely mysterious until you actually hand one over.

If you want to know what these Bell bearings are for and where to find them all Elden Ringhere’s what you need to know.

What bell bearings do

The downside of bell bearings being so poorly explained, or rather not explained at all, is the fact that they are actually very valuable. Just by looking at the items available at Twin Maiden Husks, most people will probably assume they’re not worth it, or forget about them entirely because they have no reason to visit this retailer in the first place. However, each Bell Bed expands the merchant’s inventory with some incredibly useful items that every type of character will want to access — chief among them being upgrade materials.

Once you get one, the locations of which we’ll show you below, all you have to do is hand them over to the scales and they’ll start selling more items. Here’s what each bell bearing you turn in allows you to purchase:

Where to find every bell bearing

There’s a bunch of bell bearings to cover, so we’ll get right down to it. None of it will be easy (most require you to fight some sort of boss), and many are locked until later areas of the game so you can’t be too overpowered early on. We’ll go in the order above for simplicity, but know that it won’t necessarily be the order in which you’ll be able to get them.

Location of the bell of the mining mining stone (1): The first bell of the mining mining bed is not so far away in Liurnia na Jezeri. You’ll need to find the Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel along the northeast side of the region, brave its depths, and defeat the Crystalian at the end, who will drop this bell for you.

Smithing Stone Miner’s Bell Site (2): On the Altus Plateau, find the Sealed Tunnel dungeon north of the Minor Erdtree Church Site of Grace. You don’t have to actually navigate this entire dungeon, just find the illusory wall right next to the Marika statue. This will lead you to a chest that you can loot for this Bell Bearing.

Smithing Stone Miner’s Bell Bearing Site (3): Further north in the Mountaintops of the Giants, start from the Grand Lift of Rold, or if you’ve been there, the Zamor Ruins Site of Grace, and head into the ruins themselves. This is very simple, you are only required to find the staircase down into the ruins to get to the chest.

Smithing Stone Miner’s Bell Location (4): For the last common Smithing Stone mining bed bells, you’ll have to wait until you get all the way to Crumbling Farum Azul. As you make your way through the Dragon Temple, you’ll encounter a difficult boss against the Godskin duo as part of the natural progression. Win and this trinket is yours.

Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bed Location (1): For all your darksmithing needs, we start with the basic materials by conquering the Sellia Crystal Tunnel in the Caelid. You can get here by going through Sellia, the city of sorcery, or if you happen to find a hidden teleporter right here, you’re good to go. Go through the tunnel and defeat the Fallingstar Beast to claim this reward.

Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing Location (2): Much later on the Altus Plateau, you go down into another tunnel. Going directly south of Erdtree, past the Woodfolk ruins, you’ll come to the Altus Tunnel. Explore the depths, defeat the Crystalian Duo at the end (not an easy feat) and you will receive this bell.

Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing Location (3): Luckily we have an easy way to break things. Up in the snowy peaks of the Giants, head west from Whiteridge Road Site of Grace to the First Church of Marika. Right in front of the church you will find a corpse lying in the snow with this bell bed on top of it.

Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing Location (4): Deep within Crumbling Farum Azul, pass the Crumbling Beast grave Depths Site of Grace and cross over to the storm-facing Balcony Grace. This one was picked up from another corpse right next to this Grace.

Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing Location (5): To round out your Somberstone collection, we’re sticking with Crumbling Farum Azul. At the northern end of the map is the temple after the place of grace next to the Great Bridge that leads to Maleketh, the place of grace of the Black Blade. Go to the basement of the temple and find this, again, on some poor soul’s body.

Ghost Glovewort Picker’s Bell Bearing (1) location: Moving to the more mystical side of things, we must enter Nekron, the Eternal City. Although it’s hard to get there, once you do, the Bell Bearing is just down the stairs from the first Place of Mercy you come across upon entering the zone.

Ghost Glovewort Picker’s Bell Bearing (2) location: From one Eternal City to another, we must now go deeper into Nokstella, the Eternal City in the Ainsel River area. From Nokstella, Eternal City, Place of Mercy, go east to the building, climb to the second floor and loot the chest guarded by some slimy enemies.

Picker’s Bell Location (1): Not to be confused with the Bell Bearings mentioned above, we return to the Altus Plateau. Go to the Wyndham Ruins and find the entrance to the catacombs below. You will need to defeat the Erdtree Burial Watchdog inside to retrieve this bell.

Glovewort Picker’s Bell Bearing (2) location: Warp to the Giant-Conquering Hero’s Site of Grace in Mountaintops of the Giants and go straight east. You’ll run straight into the Giant’s Peak Catacombs. The boss can be a familiar — the Ulcerated Tree Spirit — which will drop this bell along with the Golden Seed.

Bone Peddler’s Bell Bearing Location: The last four bells are carried by special world bosses called Bell Bearing Hunters. If you need to buy some bones, these are easy to find. Just go to the Warmaster’s Shack Site of Grace in Limgrave at night. This will spawn a bell-carrying Hunter boss that you can kill for the Bell.

Meat Peddler’s Bell Bearing Location: Next, we need to go to the Church of the Covenant located on the east side of Liurnia from the lake. Fast forward to dark and tackle him.

Medicine Merchant Bell Location: The third of the last four hunters is located in the hermit merchant’s cabin inside the royal capital of Leyndell. As always, be sure to come at night to fight him.

Gravity Stone Peddler’s Bell Bearing location: And finally, the last bell hunter is deep in Dragonbarrow at the Isolated Merchant Site of Grace. Be warned, this is the hardest of all the hunters you’ll fight, so don’t assume you won’t have problems based on the previous ones.
