TV star leaves £1.6million fortune to two sons – including pricey London pad

TO THE Manor Born star Angela Thorne has left her £1.6million estate to her two sons.

Probate documents revealed her son, actor Rupert Penry-Jones, 53, was bequeathed a house on the coast in Anglesey.

He is married to TV presenter Dervla Kirwan and played Adam Carter in Spooks and Detective Joseph Chandler in Whitechapel.

Brother Laurence, 47, a former actor who starred in the film Waking The Dead, is inheriting a flat in Lavender Hill, south London.

His wife is Polly Walker, 57, who starred in BBC2 historical drama Rome as Julius Caesar’s niece and was in hit Netflix costume drama Bridgerton as Lady Portia Featherington.

Her probate papers, which have just been released, show her estate is valued at £1,583,078.

The rest of the estate is divided equally between the couple.

Angela, who died last June aged 84, played Marjory Frobisher in the BBC sitcom To The Manor Born, opposite Penelope Keith.

She also appeared in Three Up, Two Down, Midsomer Murders, Foyle’s War and Heartbeat, and played Margaret Thatcher on stage.

Her husband Peter Penry-Jones, who died of bowel cancer in 2009 aged 70, also had a string of TV roles.

He appeared in Colditz, The Professionals, Bergerac, Kavanagh QC and Midsomer Murders.
