Sanvi Jain, IIT JEE 2024 all-India girls topper on challenges faced while preparing for exam: ‘I would not score well’

The results of JEE Mains 2024 session 2, the entrance exam for admission to undergraduate engineering programs, were released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Wednesday, April 24. Nilkrishna Gajare from Washim, Maharashtra topped the JEE Main 2024 exam, followed by Dakshesh Sanjay Mishra and Aarav Bhatt, who scored AIR 2 and 3 respectively. Among the toppers was Sanvi Jain, an Indian girl who scored AIR 34.

Recently, in a short interview with JEE Nexus by Unacademy, Jain revealed the difficulties she faced while preparing for the exams. She said, “I had my ups and downs. Sometimes I wouldn’t score well; then I would have to see where I went wrong in my concepts. Sometimes I faced difficulties while studying organic chemistry because it required me to memorize. Sanvi Jain from Karnataka and Shayna Sinha from Delhi were the two candidates who got 100 NTA score this year. This year, 56 candidates scored full marks. It could also result in a significant increase in the cut-off for JEE (Advanced), the entrance exam required for admission to Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) colleges.

JEE (Main) is conducted for admission to various engineering courses such as National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIIT) and other centrally funded technical colleges.

Besides, it is a prerequisite for JEE (Advanced), for which applications open on Sunday. Appearing in the exam is restricted to candidates who meet the NTA cut-off for JEE (Advanced) based on their JEE (Main) performance.
