Peter Andre's wife Emily reveals baby daughter's name - admitting 'it's taken a while'

PETER and Emily Andre have finally decided on a name for their newborn – a month after giving birth.

Emily, 34, told fans today that they have chosen Arabella Rose as their child as she shared a new picture.

She wrote: “It took a while, but after much thought we finally decided. Arabella Rose Andréa.”

Singer and TV personality Pete (51) had this fifth child, the third with his wife Emily, at the beginning of April.

Pete’s children are all named Andrea, which is also his real surname.

Emily also uses it – speaking in 2016 she told OK!: “It’s on all the kids’ birth certificates and it’s my last name now.”

The couple were split on what to name their little girl, instead opting to call her ‘Bubba’ as they make their decision.

They made the decision just in time when the deadline for registering a tote expired.

Name game

Pete has previously told fans that he “thought outside the box” to get the right name – previously noting that he likes the names Athena as a nod to his Greek roots, and Charlotte, nicknamed Charlie.

But Emily later ‘took them off the table’, bringing them back to the beginning.

Peter added to OK!: “We’ve been trying out names that our friends and family have suggested, but Emily and I don’t seem to agree on them.

“So I think it’s only fair that Emily decides – I hope she chooses a good one.”

Last month, Peter admitted they still ‘don’t have a name’ for their baby girl in a sweet Instagram post, just days after admitting they were struggling to pick one.

Peter said: “We’re still no closer to a name for our latest bundle of joy! Every time Emily and I talk about it, it just gets sidelined.

Since Emily and I agreed that she would be the one to choose, it seems to have slowed down the process even more.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, Peter added: “She’s recovering though, so I totally get it.

“We have less than four weeks before we have to register her. I took our baby for a walk in her pram for the first time to take Millie and Theo to school.

“It’s beautiful to do those things again.”

The arrival of a little girl

Petar announced the birth of his newborn with a touching announcement.

The Mysterious Girl hitmaker wrote: “Just a few minutes…

“We feel so devastated. We are so happy to welcome our beautiful baby girl into the family.

“Mummy and daughter are great. Born Tuesday 2nd April 2024 weighing 7lb 3oz and thankfully very healthy.

“The baby was spoiled with cuddles from Junior, Princess, Amelia and Theo who are all in love with their new little sister. As parents, we couldn’t be happier.”

He added: “The only thing is… She doesn’t have a name yet. Help!

“Thank you to all the doctors, midwives and staff at Musgrove Park Hospital Taunton. You were amazing. And to Emily’s parents, who I adore. You were both amazing.

“I’m so happy. I just hugged her. Thanks everyone for reading.”

Pete also has a son, Junior, 18, and a 16-year-old daughter, Princess, from his previous marriage to Katie Price.

With Emily, whom he married in 2015, 10-year-old Amelia (known as Millie), seven-year-old Theo and a newborn.
