‘Mo Salah’s gone full Jose Mourinho’, say fans as Liverpool star reacts to Klopp row with scathing nine-word statement

LIVERPOOL superstar Mohamed Salah has been compared to Jose Mourinho over his reaction to his explosive row with Jurgen Klopp.

Salah (31) started his journey to West Ham on the bench, much to the surprise of many, and was preparing to enter during the 82nd minute.

Then Klopp, 56, approached the winger on the touchline and whispered something in his ear.

This led to a fiery reaction from the Egyptian international who started shouting at his manager while gesticulating with his hands.

The argument got so heated, teammates Darwin Nunez and Joe Gomez had to step in and separate the two in front of the cameras and a packed London Stadium.

Klopp tried to pour cold water on the incident during his post-match press conference insisting the matter was closed after a discussion in the dressing room.

However, the Liverpool star suggested otherwise as he walked through the mixed zone telling reporters he could not speak as he suggested things would get worse if he did.

Salah said, “Today there will be fire if I speak.”

It brought back memories of Mourinho’s infamous post-match interview in 2014.

The special got frustrated during his second stint at Chelsea after the defeat to Aston Villa and stated that he should not express his true feelings as there would be consequences.

LIVERPOOL manager Arne Slott was a good enough player to have a type of pass named after him.

But the Feyenoord head coach is really making his mark as a manager.

Like another balding Dutchman, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, Slott earned his stripes managing minor sides before being given a chance at one of the Netherlands’ big three.

But the question on Liverpool’s mind is whether Slot would be better at leading one of the biggest clubs in the world than Ten Hag has so far at Old Trafford.

Slott, 45, was certainly easier on the eye as a player than centre-back Ten Hag.

The “Arne Slot Ball” is something he has perfected as a silky number 10 – a back towards goal, a first 180 degree spin and a shot behind the defensive line for the winger to run deep into the opposition half.
