Milsap was initially described by Westminster police as a homeless man who was staying at hotels in Westminster, as well as in neighboring Garden Grove and Anaheim. An earlier news release about the attack listed the suspect as 27 and misspelled his last name as Millsap. He was wanted for an unrelated probation violation while on probation for armed robbery, according to police.
Westminster police said in a statement that they recognized Bobby as a former NASCAR driver. He is from San Dimas, a city in eastern Los Angeles County, according to the Borough of Westminster.
