Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 2 reveals the true meaning of the Shadow’s existence
main villain Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part 2 Turned out to be a group of shadowy beings that work like a hive mind and are therefore able to be stopped by powerful light sources. For much of the movie, we don’t know exactly what this shadow army is, until the creatures come together and transform into a form of armor by the end of the movie, revealing themselves to be manifestations of the Anti-Monitor.

Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 2 Splits the Bat-Family

Why Supergirl Killed the Monitor in Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 2 Finale
After being psychologically toyed with by the Psycho-Pirates, Supergirl became convinced that the Monitor was responsible for the destruction of Krypton and was behind the erasure of certain characters, such as Braniac, from history. The Psycho-Pirate then manages to convince her that if the Monitor is killed, the universe will be reborn, telling her that the only way out is to fight the entity she’s been associated with for quite some time at the beginning of the movie.
As a result, Kara finds herself face to face with her former savior, attacking him with her heat vision – only to immediately regret her actions. Notably, after speaking with Ghost, the Monitor seemingly allowed himself to be killed by Supergirl – dropping the shield that protected him from her attacks, with the implication that his death could atone for the mistakes of his life. While this makes his death all the more sad, it also hints that his death may have been a necessary price to save the multiverse, or even the Anti-Monitor’s final attack.
What the Anti-Monitor is Doing in Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 2 Finale (And What It Means for Part 3)
Halfway through the film, a mysterious force speaks to the Psycho-Pirate, asking him why he helps the Watcher and defines himself by being completely different from the Watcher himself. The Psycho-Pirates coined the name “Anti-Monitor” for this being and quickly formed an alliance with the villain based on his own inner turmoil and desire to see others suffer.
This leads to a somewhat brutal ending Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part 2, which sees the Anti-Monitor preparing to drop an anti-matter bomb and wipe out DC’s forces and all life in reality.Although it’s clear that the heroes of Tomorrow’s Universe will find a way to save the day – if only because Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part 3 Otherwise this would be a very short movie – leaving it all for now is certainly a dramatic statement as the fate of the multiverse hangs in the balance until the next and final Universe of Tomorrow is released.
