If you really want to feel like the master of your own kingdom in Lords of castles, you’ll want to make the experience as personalized as possible. Naming your emerging village is a great start, but your coat of arms is a visual representation of your kingdom that appears much more prominently. When you start a new game, you’ll have a decent selection of symbols, designs, and colors to make something cool with, but it’s far from endless freedom. You have the option to create any crest you want, although this requires additional work outside of the game itself. Here’s how it works.

How to upload a custom crest
Unfortunately, there are no tools or systems in the game to give you full control over your crest. If you want to design anything you can think of, this is the only way for now.
Step 1: Download the PNG coat of arms template from the official Lords of castles press kit.
Step 2: Open this file in the photo editing software of your choice.
Step 3: Create any custom design you want within the bounds of the template.
Step 4: Delete template_custom_coat.png layer and save your final design.
Step 5: Open it C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\ManorLords\Saved\SaveGames* and save the file as *custom_coat.png.
Step 6: Click on Load a custom texture in the screen with the coat of arms.
Step 7: Your custom design will appear and be ready to use.
