How to mine Silver in Hades 2

Supergiant games

Silver is one of the most important resources you can find Hades 2. Unlike most others that drop after clearing a room, this precious metal must be mined from deposits around the map, which begs the question of how you can collect it. You might come across a glowing stone that says “Collect?” right away, only to be told that you can’t assemble it without a special tool. That tool is nothing more than a crescent moon, but unlocking it is a bit obscure. It won’t take much running to get what you need, so just follow our lead so you can start collecting silver to craft new weapons.

Deposits of silver will appear around as you move through the randomly generated rooms, so you’ll need to keep an eye out for these shiny silver stones. In order to collect that sweet material, you must first unlock and acquire the Crescent Picker, which takes two steps.

First, you must be at the Crossroads and interact with the large Cauldron to see the Spells. The third option on the list is Night’s Craftwork, which you’ll see is a gathering tool that allows you to harvest ore. It only costs one Moly, so you should be able to unlock it right away.

However, by unlocking through the wizard, you cannot choose immediately. Then you need to go to Silver Pool and find the new Collection Tools section. Now, the Crescent Pick, as well as several other tools, will be available to unlock Ash. The Crescent Pickaxe costs just 1 ash, so equip it and head out on your next run looking for silver deposits to mine.
