I forgot my Gmail password

The most common recovery problem with Gmail accounts is forgetting the password. It happens to the best of us, and recovering that password is a pretty easy task. Here’s how.

Step 1: First, you’ll want to visit this Google website. It is an account recovery website. Enter your email address.

Step 2: After entering your email address, Google will ask you to enter your last remembered password. If you don’t remember, choose Try another way link at the bottom.

Step 3: Google will then send you a verification code to the phone number you signed in with or another email address associated with your Gmail account.

Step 4: A verification code message will be sent to your phone or associated email address. Enter the code in the box on the Google Account recovery page and select Following.

Step 5: On the Welcome Back screen, you can reset the password by selecting Update your password or choose Continue to go to your Google Account dashboard where you can then select Gmail account icon to view your Gmail account inbox.
