'Eunuch maker' Marius Gustavson who removed victims' genitals to stream on extreme body mod site is jailed for life

The cannibalistic ringleader of a gang of “eunuch makers” who chopped off victims’ genitals for streaming on a body modification site has been jailed.

The Norwegian national also designed a “lucrative” website where 22,841 users paid to watch men get their private parts removed to become “nuls”.

Gustavson earned almost £300,000 from the extreme site, with some players shelling out £100 a year in subscriptions.

In one shocking video, the eunuch maker – who had his own penis cut off, the tip of his nipple removed and a frozen leg that had to be amputated – is seen “tasting” a man’s severed genitalia.

Body parts were also kept in a freezer at his north London home and his own manhood was discovered in a drawer four years after he cut it off.

Gustavson has now been sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 22 years after admitting conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm and five counts of grievous bodily harm with intent.

He also pleaded guilty to one count of making an indecent photograph of a child, one count of distributing an indecent photograph of a child and possession of property obtained by crime.

Gustavson was described as an “arch manipulator” who recruited like-minded people to help him in his nefarious business.

This includes ten men who are accused of taking part in the proceedings.

David Carruthers, 61, Janus Atkin, 37, Peter Wates, 67 and Ion Ciucur, 30, previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm between 2016 and 2022.

While Ashley Williams (32) and Stefan Scharf (61) also pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

The Old Bailey heard that some of the severed body parts were sold, while others may have been eaten by Gustavson.

Prosecutor Caroline Carberry KC said there was evidence of “cannibalism” – with one video showing him cooking testicles for lunch.

She added: “Images ranging from raw ingredients to an artfully arranged salad tray were discovered by officers.”

Gustavson performed the procedures in his home in London, as well as in rented apartments or hotels.

As well as the money he made from the site, he also stole £18,500 in disability benefits after having his leg amputated.

The group used a “wide variety of tools” for their operations – including those for “animal castration”.

The 13 victims – including a 16-year-old boy – were promised money from the proceeds of the video.

Although many men agreed to the operation, some were “tricked” or under the influence of drugs at the time.

During a Facetime conversation with a man in Sweden, Gustavson told him to “mutilate” himself by cutting off his testicles with a knife.

Gustavson told him, “You know what you have to do, come on, just push.”

The second victim was branded with the letters “EM”, for the eunuch creator, on the back of the calf.

One victim claimed that Gustavson created a “cult-like atmosphere” around him that was “amazing and mesmerizing.”

The man, whose testimony sparked a police investigation in 2019, said he felt like a “monster, jerk, degenerate and freak”.

Rashvinderjeet Panesar, defending Gustavson, said the break-up of his 11-year marriage in 2016, which “kept him stable”, was the “trigger” for his extreme activities.

He added: “He had the desire to be the architect of his own body.

“His modification made him feel empowered.

“It seems to be something that has become an addiction for him.”

Damien Byrnes, 36, Jacob Crimi-Appleby, 23, and Nathaniel Arnold, 48, were previously convicted for their involvement.
