Residents of Delhi and adjoining regions in the National Capital Region (NCR) witnessed heavy downpour on 23 September. It rained in several places today and as usual, people wasted no time taking to X to share videos of the downpour. From sharing how they are enjoying the current weather to comparing the capital to hill stations, people expressed their reactions through various tweets.

People are posting a lot about #DelhiRains – so much so that the hashtag is trending on the microblogging site as well.

“Huge rain and storm in #Delhi- #NCR,” X user wrote while sharing this video.
“Rain in Spain falls mostly in the plains, in Delhi it hits our metro,” another person captioned the video poetically while posting the video. The footage shows the subway running amid heavy rain.
“This is Delhi, not Dharamshala,” said a third. The video records heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds.
The individual shared a video of the rain and indicated that it creates a “calming effect” for them.

A few simply expressed surprise at the sudden downpour. Just like this person who wrote, “Ye kya ho raha hai delhi me [What is happening in Delhi] #DelhiIt’s raining in Delhi.” Another added, “The weather in Delhi is in a different mood today.” A third joined in, “Bright and sunny to heavy rain in just 15 minutes.” A fourth announced: “An hour ago it was sunny and hot, now it’s raining with black clouds.”
