‘She looked like a cat that got cream’
An onlooker told The Sun yesterday: “I had to look twice. I heard Katie was expected in court over her finances, but here she was without a care in the world in front of me.
“She was clearly unconcerned as she strutted along the sunny pavement, enjoying the last rays.
“Katie’s cavalier attitude was remarkable when you consider that she was expected at the hearing. I just couldn’t believe my eyes.
“Celebrities are probably treated differently than the rest of us. She looked like a cat that got cream.”
The Sun’s exclusive video of Katie enjoying the surroundings of Ayia Napa at 6pm on Saturday emerged after she revealed she was worried about a bankruptcy hearing in the UK.
Jail warning
As she and her man soaked up the sun, a High Court judge warned her on Friday that she could be jailed for contempt of court.
The former glamor model was spotted working out in the gym and visited the spa at the five-star Adams Beach Hotel in Ayia Napa where luxury suites can cost £760 a night.

A British tourist spotted Married At First Sight’s Katie, 45, and JJ, 31, enjoying a meal.
They told The Sun: “I saw them check in on Friday night.
“We saw them later in the bar as they were sitting near us. They were eating and drinking and seemed incredibly relaxed.

“There was a lady who sang in the piano bar.
“When I realized that Katie was supposed to be at the bankruptcy hearing, I was shocked.”
Last minute change
Judge Mark Mullen, sitting in London, was told Katie’s assistant sent an email last Thursday saying the model and TV personality was unable to attend court due to anxiety and depression.
Judge Mullen said the medical email letter did not provide enough detail about Katie’s health problems.
He said: “There is a consistent pattern here of last-minute delays being sought on the basis of fairly meager medical evidence.”
The judge ruled that she must appear at the next hearing on May 3 or send more detailed evidence as to why she could not attend.
Otherwise, a warrant will be issued for her.
A history of money troubles
Katie filed for bankruptcy for the first time in November 2019, with debts of £3.2m.
He was declared bankrupt again last month and owes the Inland Revenue £760,000.
After she failed to appear on Friday, ex-husband Alex Reid, to whom she owes £250,000, said: “People will be asking: ‘How did she get away with that?'”
Katie’s agent had no comment.
