Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt from Bachelor in Paradise are married! The happy couple got married at New York City Hall on Thursday, October 27, 2022, announcing the news on their social media accounts. Serena and Joe got engaged during the Season 7 finale of Bachelor in Paradise, which airs in the summer of 2021, despite having only known each other for a few weeks. Before starting to live together in March 2022, the couple had been in a long distance relationship for about a year. According to Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt,
“We have always known that marriage is part of our destiny; It’s not what we envisioned.”
Next fall, Serena and Joe want to have a big wedding with family and friends because, as the groom said,

Amabile and Serena Pitt met during the Season 7 premiere of Bachelor in Paradise, which aired on August 16, 2021, but was filmed that summer. Joe is worried about being alone on the beach because it’s his second time. He say,
“So until I find someone I really care about, I see no reason to stay.”
On the first day, they witness him kiss Serena and develop feelings for her. The season’s prom episode aired on September 29, and Joe Amabile shared a snap of the two together on Instagram. He and Serena were crowned prom king and queen. On October 5, the show’s epilogue aired, when Joe proposed to Serena after his ex appeared on the beach, asserting his feelings only for Selena and not Kendall Long’s ex. He asked Pitt,
“You were the first to tell me you loved me. You were the first to tell me you loved me; now is my time. Serena Pitt I Love You; will you marry me?”
Serena shared a photo of them together shortly after the finale aired. Joe previously said on the Bachelor’s Happy Hour Podcast that they were taking things slow in real life before tying the knot. Joe left Chicago after the event, but Serena stayed in Toronto. They said they were together for about a month on the show before spending 10 days in Mexico. Because of this, they had a long distance relationship where they could visit each other once a week.
They spent Thanksgiving with Joe Amabile’s family in Chicago and Christmas with Serena’s family in New York. Joe and Serena also attended the People’s Choice Awards 2021. Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt together moved to New York in March 2022 and Joe said,
“I can’t wait to move in with Serena so we only have one place to go because moving back and forth between our two apartments is a pain.”
