It is common for many to go on blind dates, mixers or sign up to dating apps to find a partner. However, this 70-year-old did something unusual and decided to put up a billboard to find love. According to reports, he settled on a £320-a-week – more than ₹33,000 – billboard asking for “marriage and karaoke”.

‘In love’ Al Gilberti told the Mirror that he had received a great response to his ad. He put up a 20 foot tall billboard in Sweetwater, Texas with his picture and text. “Lonely Male Can Relocate Sweetwater” reads part of the lyrics, followed by “Seeks Female Marriage Minded, Enjoys Karaoke”.

What does Al Gilberti look for in a partner?
The father of one, who was previously married, wants someone loyal, honest and sincere, the newspaper reported. He hopes to meet his “miss Right” soon. In fact, he is willing to move to any part of the US and even the UK if he meets the right person.
“I’m willing to move anywhere within the US. It all depends on the person — as long as I don’t spend any money and then I have to leave! Sure, I’m looking for a little bit of billboard fame, but I also want to meet the right person,” he shared with the outlet.
Gilberti told the outlet that he has received more than 400 calls and about 50 emails since his last ad. “I’m forwarding calls to my friend’s phone. There have been multiple inquiries from people wanting to get something from me – what I’m getting, I’d probably do the same! People were asking, thinking I was someone rich to help them with their bills!” he told the Mirror.
“I want to meet the right person, but that person has not contacted me yet. If I meet the right person, I want to look them in the eye and see how they react. I would go to Europe to meet someone, I just need to sort out my passport,” he added.
