The BBC’s Victoria Valentine has announced that she will be taking a break from broadcasting to focus on a new project. The newsreader, who has been a guest on both BBC News and BBC Breakfast, will complete her final assignments this month before hanging up her BBC badge and starting a brand new profession. It’s been more than a year since she officially announced her divorce and changed her name to Victoria Fritz. She is now looking for another change in her life and will go back to school. Victoria took to her Instagram stories to say it was “about time” she gave her followers an update on her life.

“I wanted to introduce you to something I’ve been working on and thinking about for a while,” she stated. In order to try something new, I’m taking a short break from broadcasting and the BBC.

“So, at the ripe old age of 39, I’m going back to school. I’m a full-time student in a master’s program in psychological science that I kind of passed down to my parents as a small part of neuroscience with a focus on thinking and feeling.

“You can certainly understand why that would appeal and be something I’m interested in,” Victoria said, adding to her followers as she described her plan to study the workings of the mind.

“I will hope to progress and get a doctorate if everything goes according to plan, and I’m not bad at it. You might be staring at Dr. Valentine in four years. The “loss” of losing the audience and the BBC was mentioned, which she said was “really sad” for her.

Victoria stated that in order to be close to the university, she will probably have to leave the village and her favorite garden, which she often posts on Instagram, because of her new job.

The popular TV presenter also announced her final days at the networks, saying: “I’ve got a month to go on the odd shift at BBC News and I’ve got some shifts at BBC Breakfast. Come and join me this weekend on the red sofa on Saturday and Sunday.
