Meet Maxine Carr, Ian Huntley’s girlfriend
Maxine Carr was a household name until the Channel 5 series Maxine explored her relationship with her boyfriend, Ian Huntley. On the other hand, Ian was famous for the 2002 murder of two schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman in Soham.
For those who don’t know, Ian worked as a janitor at Soham Village College in East Anglia, where Holly and Jessica studied. On August 4, 2002, the two girls decided to launch an investigation without telling anyone, and were unfortunately lured to Ian’s home, where they were murdered.

They will soon move into the killer’s apartment in Barton-upon-Humber, North Lincolnshire.
Fun fact: Maxine looked at Ian as he sat in the dock during his murder trial, describing him as “that thing in a box”.
