Kyle Jacobs, husband of Kellie Pickler and also musician, passed away on Friday, February 17, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The incident happened around 1:21 p.m., and officers were immediately dispatched to Pickler’s apartment. Kyle and Kellie have been married for a long time but have no children. The circumstances that led Jacobs to commit suicide are unknown, but Kellie told police that her husband had been absent since she woke up. Pikler’s assistant called officers for help when the upstairs bedroom door wouldn’t open.
News Channel 5’s Henry Rothenberg paid tribute to Jacobs on Facebook by uploading a video and writing:
“Your friendship, your talent for bringing people together through music… you will be missed, Kyle Jacobs.”
Kyle’s last Instagram post featured a photo of Lee Brice’s Hello World album and the post said the album had gone platinum. Jacobs admitted he was delighted to hear the news, saying he was a part of the record and felt honored to be a part of it.
